How Do You Choose the Shape?

We choose a shape and style together. Measurements are taken to check symmetry and position before the actual tattooing begins. After measuring, the shape will be drawn and we will review together to perfect it according to your face shape and preference.

How Do You Choose a Color?

We choose a color together by applying small amounts of different colored pigments to the skin near your brows/lips and by selecting the best match for your skin tone, features, and personal preference.

What to Expect During

Will It Hurt?

A topical anesthesia is used as needed to help numb the areas to be treated. This helps to alleviate any minor discomfort you may experience during the procedure. Everyone has their own unique level of pain tolerance. Some people feel that certain areas of the face are more sensitive than others, so special emphasis is put on making the client as comfortable as possible. A variety of topical anesthetics are on hand to ensure that your procedure is as pain-free as possible.

How Long Does It Take to Do?

The procedure is split into 2 appointments that are 6-8 weeks apart to allow the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take from 2 to 2.5 hours, which includes numbing time, the drawing and mapping process, choosing colors and the application of the procedure. Your second appointment is typically shorter in time, about 1.5 hours to perfect your desired outcome.

How Long is the Recovery or Healing Time?

Initially stronger in color for the first few days, your new brows will soften to a natural looking and beautiful color in two to three weeks. You will be provided with an after care kit to ensure optimal healed results.

Will I Need a Follow-Up Appointment?

Yes! All cosmetic tattoo procedures need a follow-up appointment to address any changes you may want to add (such as adding color or fuller shape) and to see how well they healed. Then typically a yearly color boost is recommended to maintain results.

After the Procedure

What Will They Look Like Immediately After the Procedure?

Your brows may be a little swollen, red and sometimes a bit white. This is all very normal. They will be considerably darker for the first week, before they begin to fade out to a softer color.

Does It Hurt Afterwards?

The area can be a little sore for the first few hours and then tender to the touch for a couple of days.

Will They Fade?

Your body’s skin changes over time and so will any cosmetic tattoo coloration implanted into the skin’s layers. However, this natural fading process takes years and touch ups are easily done as your color fades over time. Typically, 1-1.5 years are ideal for a color boost.

Can I Work Out, Swim, or Sweat (Sauna)?

You will need to avoid getting your new cosmetic tattoo wet, to prevent early pigmentation loss for the first 7 to 10 days. Light exercise is permitted but best to avoid sweating on the face, or any water activity. Supplies will be provided for water protection during bathing.

What if I Don’t Like It?

Although the procedure is considered semi-permanent, these procedures do have flexibility in changing color and shape to some extent. Colors will appear much darker immediately following the procedure but will often soften and lighten during the healing process.

The healing time is different for each individual and remember it takes time to adjust to a new look! We also can start conservatively in the beginning and add in the future follow ups.

Are There Any Side Effects During
Or After the Procedure?

During the procedure there may be some minor bleeding. This will depend on the client. Bruising is rare but if a person is on blood thinners, then bruising can occur. We advise you to speak to your doctor about pausing your blood thinner medications prior to your cosmetic tattoo procedure. There can be some tenderness for a few days. The color appears much darker than you may expect for the first four to six days.
